Summer Smallmouth Trips

The best time for Smallmouth is during the months of June and July.  Weather is typically hot in the afternoon, so shorts and T-shirts are a must.  We fish out of a driftboat, so the maximum number of people is 2.  We can arrange for more boats for larger groups.

It's typical that 2 people will catch between 100 to 150 fish a day.  We use ultra-light rods and fly rods to make it more enjoyable.  For 2004, the average fish caught was from 10 to 12 inches long with an occasional 3 pounder thrown in every now and then.
